RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS have confirmed their appearance at this year’s V2001 festivals.

According to the band’s official website, [url=]www.redhotchilipeppers.com, the band will appear at the event, which takes place over the weekend of August 18-19. Last year the event took place at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in Staffordshire. According to the site, tickets for this year’s festival will go on sale on March 10.

This show is in addition to their previously announced performances supporting U2 at Slane Castle in Ireland on August 25, and at the Prins Van Oranjehal in Utrecht, Holland on August 23.

The band are currently working on material which will form the follow-up to their highly acclaimed ‘Californication’ album, with longtime producer Rick Rubin.
