Festival CEO Geoff Ellis said of today’s announcements: “Having listened to fans and festival-goers tell us who they want to see at Strathallan, we worked hard to get those bands on the bill and we’re thrilled to unveil our outstanding line-up for 2016.”

Ellis also talked about the issues that lead to the local council speaking against the festival in a dossier back in January, suggesting it might be under threat this year.

Ellis said “Since we promised to improve the festival from 2015, we’ve focused on delivering those changes – from appointing highly experienced professionals in key planning, security and traffic roles, to reworking our traffic plans to make it easier for fans getting to and from the festival site. We’re dedicated to making 2016 our best year yet and with such a brilliant line-up, we’re confident it will be.”
