After storming Reading And Leeds festival back in summer and with a UK tour set to kick off next month, now it looks like they’ll be back and on the circuit for festival season 2017 – after being confirmed for Spain’s huge Benicassim festival at Costa Ahazar from 13-16 July.

Earlier this summer, the band were slammed as ‘the worst band on the planet’ by Fox News.

“I remember seeing a poll recently that said people who watch Fox News knew less about world affairs than people who watch no news at all,” bassist Flea told NME. “It’s clearly a funny programme. It doesn’t faze me, not really.

“I heard that. It’s funny. I don’t care. They’re all welcome to hate us. God bless ’em.”

Meanwhile, next month sees Red Hot Chili Peppers return to the UK for an arena tour, supported by BABYMETAL. Full dates are below.
