REEF’S HEAD IN THE SAND NO MORE

The band supply lyrics to house DJ Steve Lawler's new single - and singer Gary Stringer appears in the video...

Reef have become the latest rock band to flirt with club culture, thanks to a bizarre new video featuring singer GARY STRINGER.

The video for the track ‘Rise In’, by house DJ Steve Lawler, features Stringer buried up to his neck in sand by Lawler and studio partner ‘Washington’.

The collaboration came about after Stringer found out that the track contains lyrics from ‘Mellow’, a song from Reef‘s debut album ‘Replenish’. Although ‘Rise In’ does not actually sample Stringer, he is thought to have loved the track so much that he agreed to appear in the video, shot in Camber Sands last week.
