REM played a brand new song during a surprise set in VANCOUVER on Sunday (December 15).
The band played a short set at Richard’s On Richards during the intermission of a Minus Five gig.
REM‘s set included ‘She Just Wants To Be’ from 2001’s ‘Reveal’, a reworked version of 80s tune ‘Bad Day’ and a brand new song called ‘Weatherman’, which an eyewitness described as “faster-paced” than the material on ‘Reveal’.

The band are currently in Vancouver recording their 13th studio album. Last week the band announced a European tour for 2003 which will kick off with a headline slot at the Glastonbury Festival on June 27. REM will also release a Best Of compilation later in the year.
