REM ‘REVEAL’ DETAILS OF US TOUR

It's their first jaunt in four years...

REM have announced details of their first North American tour in four years.

The band who tour European festivals in the summer, kicking off at Glastonbury on June 27, will kick off the 26-date second leg of their jaunt in Seattle on September 1, at the Bumbershoot festival, according to their official website [url=]remhq.com.

Support acts announced so far are Wilco (September 3-13), [a][/a] (September 14-20) Sparklehorse (September 23-30/October 4). Supports for all other dates will be announced later.

The band are currently recording a new album, the follow-up to 2001’s ‘Reveal’. It is expected be released in 2004. A greatest hits compilation spanning the group’s 15 years at Warner Bros. is due for release later this year, and is expected to include at least two new tracks.
