As part of their UK promotional duties, REM visited the ‘Top Of The Pops’ studios in Elstree last night (April 26), where they recorded four songs live for broadcast.

NME.COM can reveal the band recorded ‘Imitation Of Life’, due for release on April 30, as well as new tracks ‘All The Way To Reno (You’re Gonna Be A Star)’ and ‘I’ve Been High’. It is likely one of these songs will be the follow-up to ‘Imitation Of Life’. The band completed their recording with a version of the classic single ‘Everybody Hurts’.

‘Imitation Of Life’ will be broadcast on BBC1 this evening (April 27) from 7.30pm.
