R.E.M are planning outdoor shows in the UK, including one gig at Stirling Castle in Scotland, in the summer of this year.
No dates or supports for the Stirling show have been announced, though one insider close to the band confirmed that the gig is in the planning stages. The band are also tipped for European festival appearances including Glastonbury in the UK.
Stirling Castle has already seen action as a venue for Ocean Colour Scene‘s gig there last year.
