They begin work on new album
The Rentals have announced the details of a four-week residency at Spaceland in Los Angeles this summer.
The band will perform at the home of Club NME Los Angeles with Fred Perry Subculture every Saturday night in July (7, 14, 21, 28).
The band, founded by former Weezer bassist Matt Sharp, are currently in Los Angeles writing, rehearsing and preparing to record their third studio album, which they plan to release later this year. It will be their first album since 1999’s ‘Seven More Minutes’.
Speaking about the new material, Sharp recently told Under The Radar: “When we step out on stage doing what we’re doing now, it feels absolutely correct. It feels honest, and I feel like I know where I am.”
