Reverend And The Makers’ Jon McClure arrested in drug bust

Singer cautioned by Inverness police

Reverend And The Makers frontman Jon McClure has escaped with a reprimand after being found by police with cannabis in an Inverness hotel.

The singer/guitarist was arrested in the Inverness Ramada hotel in the early hours of this morning (March 4) and found with a quantity of the drug – but has escaped with a caution.

“I was with the wife, ordered some room service and was butt naked,” McClure told NME.COM. “Next thing rozzers are at the door so I pulled me kecks on and next thing they are rooting through our cases.”

He added: “They took my herb and were dead happy because it was the first famous person they had arrested. Anyhow fuck it. They are going to write me a letter telling me off, I might burn up a fat one with the letter.”

Reverend And The Makers play the Inverness Ironworks tonight.
