Plus Beautiful South, VV Brown, Roll Deep to play at Stoke bash

Former Specials man Jerry Dammers, Reverend And The Makers, N-Dubz and VV Brown are set to play at the forthcoming Love Music Hate Racism Festival 2009.

The event will take place at Stoke‘s Britannia Stadium, home of Stoke City Football Club, on May 30. The Beautiful South, Roll Deep and Helsinki, the side-project of BabyshamblesDrew McConnell, will also play.

In a statement Reverend And The Makers’ Jon McClure said: “We jumped at the chance to be involved with the Love Music Hate Racism concert.

“We were at last year’s Love Music Hate Racism festival and saw people of all races and denominations together in the afternoon sun listening to music.

“You think how music has changed in the last 50 years and we would have none of that mixture of music and culture if racist groups had their way.”

Tickets for the event will cost £10. See for more information.
