RIALTO BECOME A HOUSE BAND

The top 40 stars to showcase songs from their second album at capital shows...

Rialto, the first UK chart band to release a single exclusively through the Internet, are marking their return to the public eye with a month-long residency in a London club.

The band will play every Thursday in May at Reggie Reggie’s Soul Cafe in the city.

Rialto made history in July 1998 by selling an updated version of their Top 40 single ‘Monday Morning 5:19’ through an online virtual record shop rather than through high street stores.

Now operating as a four-piece as opposed to the previous six, the group are currently without a record contract, though are said to be considering both Internet and record deals for their new album.

Tracks from the recently-completed record, the follow-up to their self-titled debut from 1998, will be previewed during the shows.
