Richard Ashcroft played his first major show as a solo artist yesterday (7 August), and has live dates lined-up in GERMANY later in the year.
Ashcroft made his first performance as a solo artist with a full live band in the early hours of yesterday morning (August 7) at the Benecassim Festival in Spain.
According to Ashcroft‘s official website, [url=]www.richardashcroft.co.uk, he was forced to cut his set short by three songs due to time restrictions, but, as promised, played a selection of songs from his new solo album ‘Alone With Everybody’ – as well as the highlights from The Verve‘s back catalogue.

Ashcroft‘s new single, ‘C’Mon People (We’re Making It Now)’ is released on August 28 through Hut. The single will be backed with a new song, ‘Make A Wish’, as well as a remix of his first single ‘A Song For The Lovers’.
