Richard Ashcroft is to take part in an exclusive webcast and live webchat on nme.com.
Ashcroft will answer fans’ questions and play an exclusive three-song acoustic set at 7pm on August 18, on the eve of his first major solo UK performance at the V2000 festival – but you can pre-submit questions from this coming Monday (August 7).
nme.com Editor Anthony Thornton said: “It’s going to be a fantastic event for Richard Ashcroft‘s fans and nme.com – it’s easily the most exciting event nme.com has done. It’s great that Richard Ashcroft is working with nme.com to talk to his fans. And his acoustic performance is bound to be one of the most thrilling web events ever.”
The event will also be webcast simultaneously on Richard Ashcroft‘s official website, www.virtuetv.com.
Ashcroft has also relaunched his own website, which now features a brand new picture and video gallery with exclusive studio footage, as well as a discography and live show archive.
Ashcroft‘s new single, ‘C’Mon People (We’re Making It Now)’ is released on August 28 through Hut. The single will be backed with a new song, ‘Make A Wish’, as well as a remix of his first single ‘A Song For The Lovers’.
This year’s V2000 festival takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Staffordshire over the weekend of August 19-20.
