Isle Of Wight – legendary singer joins the bill

The line-up is taking shape

Richard Ashcroft is to play the closing night of the 2006 Nokia Isle Of Wight Festival.

The star plays on the Sunday (June 11) of the bash at Seaclose Park, Newport.

Other acts confirmed for the bash include Friday night headliners The Prodigy, rock legend Lou Reed and comeback rockers Primal Scream.

Saturday night’s headliner is still to be revealed, but it strongly rumoured to be Foo Fighters.
