X Factor holds off Richard Ashcroft

X Factor winner Shayne Ward has secured his fourth week at the top of the UK singles chart tonight (January 15).

‘That’s My Goal’ remains number one, ahead of new entries from Richard Ashcroft, who is at number three with ‘Break The Night With Colour’, Sunblock’s Baywatch theme ‘I’ll Be Ready’ at four, Texas at number six with ‘Sleep’ and Jose Gonzales who’s ‘Heartbeats’ goes in at nine.

The Kooks are a new entry at number 12 with ‘You Don’t Love Me’, while Celebrity Big Brother attention sees The Ordinary Boys return to the top 40 with ‘Boys Will Be Boys’ reappearing at number 33.

In the album charts, James Blunt is number one, while The Strokes are number two with ’First Impressions Of Earth’.

Meanwhile there’s a Brit Awards nominations bubble with Editors, Hard-Fi and Kaiser Chiefs all jumping up to three, four and five respectively.
