Richard Ashcroft will make his debut solo live performance at this year’s V2000 Festivals at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire on August 19-20, nme.com can reveal. As recently predicted by nme.com, Travis will join him on the bill as headliners.

The first single to be taken from the album is ‘Song For The Lovers’, out on April 3.

It’s not known who’ll be making up Richard‘s backing band, but Verve drummer Peter Salisbury, who played on the new album, is a definite. It’s also likely that steel guitarist BJ Cole will make an appearance on stage.
