Police searching for bank robber disguised as Rick James

The alleged incident took place in Indiana on Saturday (September 19)

Police in the US are on the look-out for a man alleged to have robbed a bank dressed as late R&B musician Rick James.

Two men are suspected to have robbed the Advance America bank in Indiana on Saturday (September 19). One man appeared to be in disguise as Rick James and another dressed as a character from from 1970s movie Super Fly.

A local news report reads, “Two black men wearing all black entered the bank with handguns. Both men approached the teller counter and demanded money. The suspects ran in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of money. “


“The first suspect is described as being 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches with long dark hair. He was wearing sunglasses, a black hat, all black clothing and was armed.”

“The second suspect is described as 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches with long dreads. He was armed and wearing all black clothing.”

The suspects are also believed to have held up the nearby Indiana Members Credit Union the following day.
