Meanwhile, Rihanna is to record a concept album this year based around DreamWorks’ forthcoming animation ‘Home’. Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO of DreamWorks Animation, announced the news during the company’s quarterly earnings statement, saying Rihanna, who also stars in the film, will perform new songs.

The film will be released in November and revolves around a group of aliens that hide on earth to escape their enemies. The 3D film is based on Adam Rex’s 2007 children’s book ‘The True Meaning Of Smekday’, with Rihanna starring as teenager Gratuity “Tip” Tucci. Jennifer Lopez, Steve Martin and Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory, also appear.

It will be Rihanna’s first album since 2012’s ‘Unapologetic’, with 2013 being the first year since 2009 she didn’t release an album. Despite saying she was taking a year off, she still appeared various videos with other artists, including A$AP Rocky, and featured on Eminem‘s ‘Monster’ from his album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’.
