Appearing onstage at shortly after 10pm, the singer thanked her 777 Tour party, who have now followed the singer through six countries travelling on a Boeing 777 plane, ahead of the final leg in New York tomorrow. The acknowledgement follows some signs of dissent in the ranks, and a streaking incident on board the plane. “London, I am loving this,” she said, enthusiastically.
Due to curfew issues ‘What’s My Name’ was cut from the set, much to the dissapointment of some fans. “It’s my favourite one too,” said fan Ella Stevens, 19, after the gig. During ‘Umbrella’ four umbrellas were raised in the air – a record for the tour so far.
Celebrities including Kylie Minogue, Pixie Lott and Alexandra Burke were in the audience. “Touring is so hard” said Burke, when asked if she could cope with the 777 Tour’s hectic schedule. Also spotted were indie band Haim.
Earlier, Rihanna switched on the Christmas lights at London’s Westfield Stratford shopping centre.
