Rihanna announces UK tour for summer 2013

Singer will showcase new album 'Unapologetic'

Rihanna is set to play five UK dates in summer 2013 as part of a world tour.

The singer will kick off the stretch at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium on June 10, before heading to Manchester, London, Birmingham and Sunderland.

Rihanna will play:

Cardiff Millennium Stadium (June 10)
Manchester Arena (June 12)
Twickenham Stadium (June 15)
Birmingham LG Arena (June 17)
Sunderland Stadium Of Light (June 20)

Rihanna will this week begin a special tour of seven countries in seven days, kicking off the string of dates in Mexico City on November 14 before heading to Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin, London and concluding New York on November 20. Dubbed the 777 tour, Rihanna will travel on a special plane for the shows, accompanied by members of her fan club and international press. NME will be reporting from the tour daily.

Rihanna releases her new album ‘Unapologetic’ on November 19. ‘Unapologetic’ is the singer’s seventh album and features her Number One single ‘Diamonds’. Last week she announced that a £155 deluxe box-set of the LP will be available to buy – which will feature a host of extras including a vinyl remix album, fan poster and T-shirt and a personal note written to fans.
