Rihanna ordered to ‘stop going out drinking’ by doctors

Sources claim that star has been 'overdoing it' and needs to rest

Rihanna has been ordered by doctors to “stop going out and drinking” or risk becoming ill, according to reports.

The singer was forced to cancel her show in Malmo, Sweden earlier this week (October 1) after she was rushed to hospital and diagnosed with a flu virus.

According to The Sun, sources close to the ‘Man Down’ star are worried that her hectic schedule is the reason behind her illness, and claim that she has been spending too much time working and partying.

“Rihanna is running on empty but she’s still been going out drinking and living it up,” said the source. “She doesn’t have any down time where she can completely relax. She spends most of her time in the studio, on stage or in clubs.

“Doctors are worried she’s overdoing it. She needs to take some time off. Otherwise she’ll be vulnerable to more illness.”

Rihanna was recently criticised by anti-rape campaigners for allowing herself to be portrayed as “an object possessed by men” in the video for new single ‘We Found Love’. The clip sees the singer spanked and have the word ‘Mine’ tattooed on her backside by male model Dudley O’Shaughnessy.

Rihanna releases her new album ‘Talk That Talk’, which is her sixth studio LP, on November 21.
