Rihanna has shared teaser clips of two previously unheard tracks.
The track ‘American Oxygen’ features in the television commercial for NCAA March Madness. Meanwhile, the singer took to Instagram to share snippets from a second track called ‘Higher’, with a caption that reveal that reveals she has been in the studio with Kuk Harrell and Marcos Tovar.
“5 am drunk off da whiskey with these two rockstars @officialkukharrell @djanser!!!” Rihanna wrote. “These guys always hold me down even at the craziest hours! We’ve made every album since #GoodGirlGoneBad together! The family!!! One Love #R8.”
Rihanna previously released ‘FourFiveSeconds’, which will appear on her forthcoming album. The single featured Paul McCartney and Kanye West, who is featuring it on his own new record.
West recently revealed that he is “executive producing” Rihanna’s new album and added that the LP is “coming soon”.
Rihanna has not released a new album since ‘Unapologetic’ in 2012, having previously released an album a year since 2009. “That project is a lot closer than anyone realised, including her own record label,” DJ Skee said of the new album in November. “She’s trying to put out a project to capitalise off the fourth quarter.”
Skee went on say that of the 10 tracks premiered to Rihanna’s label, Roc Nation, including a track entitled ‘I’ve Been Searching for Something to Ignite Me When I’m Alone’.
