Rihanna’s response to being asked about Prince Harry’s wedding was brilliant

"Why would you think I'm invited?"

Rihanna recently shut down a reporter after being asked if she would be attending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.

The singer met Harry in 2016 when both attended an event in Barbados to mark 50 years of independence in the Caribbean island.

With Harry set to marry Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle this weekend (May 19), Rihanna was recently asked during an interview with Access Hollywood whether she received an invitation to the upcoming Royal Wedding.

“So is that really coming up like soon or something?”, Rihanna asked, appearing unaware of the entire thing.

“Why would you think I’m invited?”, she then asked.

After the reporter explained it was because the pair had met once, Rihanna replied: “You met me, you think you’re coming to my wedding? Am I coming to yours?”

“Okay then maybe I should feel a way [about not being invited to Prince Harry’s wedding],” Rihanna joked.

It was recently revealed that Rihanna is working on a reggae album.

In a Vogue feature, writer Chioma Nnandi said that the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Anti’ would be influenced by Bob Marley and the influential record producer Supa Dups, best known for his work with Beenie Man and Sean Paul. “She plans to make a reggae album,” Nnandi stated.

The update comes after the Barbadian artist assured fans that new music was on the way earlier this week.  “She coming sis!” the singer told a fan when they asked about the whereabouts of new material. A source close to Rihanna also claimed that there could well be two new albums on the way.
