Rilo Kiley man to release debut solo album

Pierre de Reeder strikes out on his own

Rilo Kiley bassist Pierre de Reeder has announced the details of his debut solo album.

‘The Way That It Was’ is due out in the US on August 12 and features 11 tracks including ‘Not How I Believe’ and ‘Sophia’s Song’.

The album has been taking shape over the past five years, and was co-produced by Dave Trumfio (Built To Spill, Wilco, Grandaddy).


It also features collaborations with Rilo Kiley bandmates Jenny Lewis, Blake Sennett and Jason Boesel.
