Rob Zombie has revealed that he’s branching out from the world of film and taking a step into the squeaky clean life of advertising.
The House Of 1000 Corpses and Halloween remake director is ditching the blood and dirt to get behind the camera on a new advert for laundry detergent Woolite, which has been shot but not released yet. Speaking to Noisecreep.com Zombie stated: “It was sort of strange, but I love doing stuff like that.”
The former White Zombie frontman added that: “An ad agency from Australia had reached out to me about doing the commercial and I had originally turned it down because I was so busy. But then some things opened up and then I was able to do it. I’m glad I did.”
Meanwhile, he is currently working on a new psychological horror film The Lords of Salem, which shares its name with a track from his third solo album. “It does tie into the Salem witch trials, but the story takes place in the present,” he explained. “That’s all I’ll say for now, but it’s definitely going to be a scary film.”
