ROBBIE WILLIAMS’ new album is reportedly to be called ’INTENSIVE CARE’.
The belated follow-up to 2002’s ’Escapology’ will be released in the autumn.
The first single from the album has not been confirmed, but is rumoured to be called ’Trippin’. Several tracks are said to show a strong reggae influence.
The star recently gave a triumphant performance at Live 8, sticking to material which appeared on his massive-selling Greatest Hits album of 2004.
Following the release of ’Escapology’ and playing three sold-out nights at Knebworth in summer 2003, Williams threatened to quit pop music, saying he would rather be a nobody.
He said at the time: “I can’t leave the house without being hassled, without people coming up to me bothering me all the time. I am seriously thinking about giving it all up, about not putting out any more records.”
