THE MILLION SELLING MAN!

Should make up for the single only going in at Number Four, eh?...

Robbie Williams ‘ESCAPOLOGY’ has become the fastest-selling album of the year in the UK, notching up quadruple-platinum sales of over 1.2 million after three weeks in the shops.

The album, which has held on to the Number One spot for the last three weeks since its release, has sold a total of 3.5 million copies worldwide, and has not yet been released in Japan or the US.

As Christmas approaches, Robbie Williams is under pressure to repeat the success of last year’s festive album chart topper, ‘Swing When You’re Winning’, which stayed at Number One from its release in November last year until January 2002.
