Get ready to have a groan at that puntastic title...

ROBBIE WILLIAMS has confirmed the title of his album of big band covers will be ‘SWING WHEN YOU’RE WINNING’.

A spokesperson for Williams told NME.COM this morning (August 20) that the album will be released on November 19.

Earlier this year, NME.COM exclusively revealed that Williams was planning to release an album of Frank Sinatra-style big band cover versions.

The singer fancies himself as a modern British version of Ol’ Blue Eyes and plans to record some Sinatra songs for record.

Robbie has already recorded a version of Frank Sinatra‘s ‘Have You Met Miss Jones?’, which appeared on the soundtrack album to ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’. But now he wants to record a whole album of big band numbers.

The album is set to bridge the gap prior to Robbie‘s follow-up to ‘Sing When You’re Winning’, which isn’t due until early 2003.
