has this morning (November 18) announced a 15 dates tour of Europe in the summer, which will see him play in front of almost one million people.

The star also confirmed two huge shows at Knebworth in Hertfordshire, when he will attempt to better the 250,000 people brought in by Oasis

Williams , who today releases his much anticipated new album ‘Escapology’, will open the tour with two shows in Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on June 28 and 29. After shows in northern Europe taking Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden – as well as Knebworth on August 2 and 3 – he’ll close the tour in Dublin’s Phoenix Park on August 9.

“For me, touring is the ultimate adrenaline rush. This is going to be one of my best tours yet. I’m really excited at the prospect of being back on the road,” Williams said today. He was speaking at a press conference in Berlin where Europe’s media gathered to hear the tour details.

Its been a busy few days for Williams . After performing at the MTV Awards in Barcelona last week (November 14), he appeared on an hour-long prime-time BBC1 special on Saturday (16) showcasing tracks from the new album and played a brief acoustic show for Radio 1 last night to mark the 50th anniversary of the charts.
