We've scooped the music world yet again...

NME.COM has scooped the music world again, after being awarded the Gold Award by the prestigious Internet magazine WEBUSER ( ).

A recent survey by the magazine awarded NME.COM a maximum Five Stars, commending us on our “ever-reliable” news and reviews, which leave other websites in their wake.

The magazine awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze awards to what it considered to be the best music websites in the world, as well as rating other well known music brands such as MTV and Rolling Stone.

In commending NME.COM, they wrote: “The site’s greatest strength is its writers’ obvious love of music, and as you’d expect from such a big player in the world of tuneful journalism, it’s all beautifully written. A real gem.”

NME.COM editor Anthony Thornton was understandably very pleased with the result. He commented: “It’s a tribute to all the hard work that the NME.COM team has put into the site day and night. Without the tireless commitment from the entire focussed team it wouldn’t have been possible, And they can hold a drink. Which helps in the hectic round of aftershows. The great thing is that this is just the beginning, as we’re planning some pretty major innovations very soon.”

The award is just one of many for NME.COM in recent years. We have been voted PPA Website Of The Year twice, while a member of our news team was last year crowned PPA Young Journalist Of The Year.
