Party time for Usher as '8701' storms to the top of the album chart, while U2 don't get revenge on Robbie...

ROBBIE WILLIAMS‘ ‘ETERNITY’ has held on to the top of the singles chart for another week today (July 22), with U2‘s new single ‘ELEVATION’ becoming the highest new entry at Three, behind D12’s ‘PURPLE HILLS’.

Sisqo had the only other new entry in the Top Ten this week, with ‘Dance For Me’ going in at Number Six.

Elsewhere, Da Hool was new at 11 with ‘Meet Her At The Love Parade 2001’, Mariah Carey at 12 with ‘Loverboy’, Oxide And Neutrino at 16 with ‘Devil’s Nightmare’ and Ricky Martin at 19 with ‘Loaded’.

The remaining new entries in the singles chart came from They Might Be Giants, ‘Boss Of Me’ (21), Kaci, ‘Tu Amor’, David Gray, ‘Sail Away’ (26), and Sugababes, ‘Soul Sound’ (30).

In the albums chart, Usher soared straight into the Number One slot with ‘8701’, with only two other new entries, from Damage at 30 with ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’ and ‘The Very Best Of The Beach Boys’ at Number 31.
