THE UK GONG SHOW

Tipped to sweep boards at Brits 1999 next month...

Robbie Williams will be nominated for at least six Brit Awards when the shortlist is announced tonight and has a good chance of winning at least three, including Best Male Performer.

The full list of nominees will be announced tonight at a press conference at the Cafe De Paris in London in a year that has been successful for artists such as Catatonia, Massive Attack and Gomez.

Williams will play live at the Brits show at London Docklands Arena on February 16 – he duetted with Tom Jones at the last one – along with the Manic Street Preachers and a reunited Eurythmics. Eurythmics, favourites of the major label types on the Brits nominating and voting panels, will be honoured for their Outstanding Contribution To Music.
