Reports in the UK press this morning (January 26) that ROBBIE WILLIAMS is has enrolled in an acting school in NEW YORK to further his chances of launching a career in movies have been dismissed.

According to the The Daily Star, the star has enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute while in the US on promotional duties.

Film stars Al Pacino, Harvey Keitel and Ellen Burstyn are current patrons of the school, which opened 50 years ago and whose alumni include Jack Nicholson, Robert De Niro, Marlon Brando and Marilyn Monroe.

However, a spokesperson has told NME.COM that it is completely untrue. “There are always stories doing the rounds that he is going to take up acting, and he does get sent a lot of scripts. But there is no truth in this,” he added.
