Robbie Williams ‘never made peace’ with Oasis

Singer still not on speaking terms with Noel and Liam Gallagher

Robbie Williams has revealed that he never managed to patch up his relationship with Noel and Liam Gallagher after he fell out with the Oasis brothers.

Robbie became friends with Oasis during the ’90s, famously joining the band onstage at Glastonbury in 1995. However, relations between the two camps turned sour soon after with Noel famously calling Robbie “that fat dancer from Take That” in an interview.

Asked if he ever made peace with Noel Gallagher, Williams revealed to Shortlist this week that things are still frosty. Quizzed on whether or not he is friends with Noel and Liam, Robbie told the magazine: “Not really, no. But we rented a place near Noel’s and his wife sent us a nice bunch of flowers. I bet she went to a nice school to do a nice thing like that. It was surprising.”

Robbie was also grilled on his relationship with Take That‘s Gary Barlow. The ‘Angels’ singer says that he “loves him to bits” but revealed that the two didn’t speak for 10 years following Williams’ departure from the group. [quote]I just really disliked him. I loved him and disliked him. I’m sure that in One Direction right now, there’s going to be hatred between certain members for certain things, all young and daft stuff. First time round I really loved him, needed his approval, and then for many reasons I really didn’t like him and now I love him to bits.[quote]

Robbie Williams is due to release his new album ‘Take The Crown’ in November. The album will be preceded by new single ‘Candy’.
