Plant pays tribute to producer mate Pat Moran at 200 capacity show
Punters had paid the bargain price of just £3 a ticket for the charity fundraising show, which was arranged as a tribute to record producer and engineer Pat Moran, who died in January of this year.
Performing with three local musicians, Robert Plant’s unannounced appearance on July 9 saw him performing solo songs and Led Zeppelin hits to just 200 people at the gig, which took place earlier this month, reports The Sun.
Pat Moran was an old friend and colleague of Plant’s and he produced Iggy Pop‘s ‘Soldier’ album as well as Robert Plant‘s ‘The Principle of Moments’.
Robert Plant is currently on a European tour and will return to the UK to play the Big Chill festival on August 7, performing tracks from his most recent album ‘Band Of Joy’.
