‘Searching For Sugar Man’ star Rodriguez announces new UK shows

The cult musician will return to the country for two gigs this summer

Searching For Sugar Man star Rodriguez has announced his live return to the UK.

The 70-year-old cult musician will play two special gigs at London’s Palladium venue this summer.

Rodriguez was considered a ‘lost’ artist from Detroit, who, though relatively unknown in the US, became a massive star in South Africa and Australia, but was then rumoured to have died.

The aforementioned documentary about him was released in 2012, revealing what had really happened to him. The film won the Special Jury Prize and the Audience Award for best international documentary at the Sundance Film Festival 2012.

Tickets for Rodriguez’s new pair of gigs will go on sale tomorrow (March 10) at 10am.

Rodriguez will play:

London, Palladium (July 22, 23)
