Rolo Tomassi have announced a full UK tour for October.
The Sheffield math-metallers will play 10 dates on the tour, beginning at Bristol Fleece on October 21 and running until October 31 when the band will headline London’s XOYO.
The dates are in support of the band’s as-yet-untitled third album, which is due out later this year. They are currently recording with producer Jason Sanderson.
Speaking to NME about how it will differ from their previous efforts, keyboardist James Spence said: “It’s a more straight-up, heavy sounding and much more direct. You can get your teeth into it much quicker, people who didn’t have patience before with our music before will be into this record. It’s still technical, but we’re using the mathy bits more sparingly.”
The album is the band’s first with new members Chris Cayford and Nathan Fairweather, who replaced previous bassist Joseph Thorpe and guitarist Joe Nicholson earlier this year.
Rolo Tomassi will play:
Bristol Fleece (October 21)
Brighton Haunt (22)
Nottingham Rescue Rooms (23)
Birmingham Rainbow (24)
Leeds Cockpit (25)
Middlesbrough Sumo (26)
Manchester Deaf Institute (27)
Glasgow King Tuts Wah Wah Hut (28)
Norwich Arts Centre (30)
London XOYO (31)
Tickets go onsale on Friday (June 1) at 9am (GMT). To check the availability of Rolo Tomassi tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0871 230 1094.
