The star's cover of 'A Fairytale Of New York' will have a few of the words changed - wonder which ones?...

Ronan Keating has recorded a cover of THE POGUES‘ classic ‘A FAIRYTALE OF NEW YORK’ for inclusion as a B-side on forthcoming single ‘THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL’.

But seemingly put out by some of the strong language on the Shane McGowan-penned original, the Boyzone frontman has changed a few of the lyrics on his version of the Christmas 1987 number one.

Although unable to tell exactly which words had been worked over, a spokesperson for Keating told NME.COM this afternoon (October 23) that it was the female’s part of the track – originally sang by Kirsty McColl but taken by Clannad’s Maire Brennan on Keating’s version – that had been tinkered with.

The single will be released through Polydor on November 25.
