The Brighton duo's self-titled LP will be released in August
Royal Blood have revealed details of their self-titled debut album.
‘Royal Blood’ will be released on August 25. It follows the release of the singles ‘Out Of The Black’, ‘Little Monster’ and ‘Come On Over’. A tracklisting has not yet been revealed.
The band announced the news on their Facebook page, sharing a short video documentary which shows them in Rockfield Studios in Wales working on the new material – watch it below.
It also shows singer and bassist Mike Kerr playing the piano on which Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ was played on. Footage of the band playing on this years’ NME Awards Tour also appears.
Speaking to NME previously about the album, the band said that they wanted it to “sound bigger than two people”. “We’ve been writing and recording over the last year, in batches”, Kerr said. “Any two piece’ fear things sounding the same. And that’s something that we were very conscious of at the beginning. But I think the way we’ve been writing and recording, we didn’t do it all in one. We’d do three or four tracks, and then we’d go in and record, and that was over the course of a year where I think we were really developing what the band was and some of the sounds we were using.” _ watch the video interview below.
