ODB AND JA RULE RUN OUT OF TOWN

The long-awaited album is now due on April 2, with contributions from Fred Durst, Kid Rock and Method Man, among others...

RUN DMC have dropped tracks featuring Ol’ DIRTY BASTARD, JA RULE and SLICK RICK from their much delayed new album.

No official reason has been given for their swift deletion, though Pete Ganbarg, an Arista Records spokesperson, told Entertainment Weekly that “they didn’t fit with the rest of the record”.

At present, Fred Durst, Kid Rock, Everlast, Nas, Prodigy from Mobb Deep, Method Man and Jermaine Dupri are among the guest artists who remain on the album, ‘Crown Royal’.

A new provisional release date of April 2 (April 3 in the US) has now been set. It is rumoured the record will re-tread the rap-rock ideas Run DMC kicked off with Aerosmith 15 years ago.
