Run The Jewels document New York gang culture in animated ‘Rubble Kings Theme (Dynamite)’ video

New track is taken from soundtrack to Rubble Kings documentary

Run The Jewels have released the video for new song ‘Rubble Kings Theme (Dynamite)’, which is taken from new documentary Rubble Kings.

The film tells the story of New York City street gangs in the early 1970s and was directed by Shan Nicholson, who also worked on the animated video for ‘Rubble Kings Theme (Dynamite)’. Rubble Kings was released over the summer but its accompanying album will be available from January 15 next year.

In addition to Run The Jewels, the album also features tracks from Ghostface Killah, Bun B, and TV On The Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe.

Meanwhile, Run The Jewels play an intimate London show this weekend. The hip-hop duo will be taking part in Converse Rubber Tracks, a full weekend of free music events held across the capital. The free events will take place from Friday, December 4 to Sunday, December 6 at a variety of locations.

This show will be Run The Jewels’ first show in the capital since their sold-out show at The Forum in June. Last week, Killer Mike and El P uploaded their remix of Miike Snow’s new track ‘Heart is Full’ to Soundcloud.
