Run The Jewels preview cat sound remix album ‘Meow The Jewels’ – listen

The hip-hop duo are attempting to recreate their 'RTJ2' album using only cat noises

Run The Jewels have previewed their upcoming ‘Meow The Jewels’ album.

The remix LP sees the rap duo and friends recreate their recent ‘Run The Jewels 2’ album using cat sounds. The album was backed by Kickstarter, with funds going to charity.

Sharing a snippet of Dan The Automator‘s cat remix of ‘Angel Duster’, rapper El-P wrote, “making a cat sound album for charity has a cost. namely, that its an album of cat sounds. YOU MADE US DO THIS.”

The album will also feature help from Portishead’s Geoff Barrow, Zola Jesus and more. El-P previously stated on Twitter that mixes for ‘Meow The Jewels’ are “incoming” and that the album is “shaping up”.
