Run The Jewels have previewed their next album, as well as issuing an update on their upcoming ‘Meow The Jewels’ remix LP.

The hip-hop duo of Killer Mike and El-P released their second album ‘RTJ2’ in 2014, promising a remix record based on the album consisting solely of cat noises. The album will feature help from Portishead’s Geoff Barrow, Zola Jesus and more. Rapper El-P has stated on Twitter that mixes are “incoming” and that the album is “shaping up”.

El-P also took to Instagram to preview music from their next studio album, ‘RTJ3’. He said on Twitter that he is “a subscriber to the “make the record great no matter how long it takes” philosophy.” Listen below.

Run The Jewels were recently announced as among the acts set to perform at Field Day and this year’s Reading & Leeds Festival. They also released a new song for Record Store Day 2015 called ‘Bust No Moves’. The track was made available on a limited-edition seven-inch and features Arkansas rapper SL Jones.

The pair also appear to be teaming up with Massive Attack, with images recently appearing on Twitter alongside a post from Killer Mike which read: “in the studio with massive attack right now. so… no big deal or anything. not bragging a lot. just talking here”.

Killer Mike also attended this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner last month (April 25). The annual event sees key journalists and notable figures coming together to discuss key issues. President Obama was in attendance.
