Earlier this week, it was reported that the group would be opening for Jack White at his Madison Square Gardens show in New York on January 30. Killer Mike and El-P confirmed the appearance, with El-P writing on Twitter: “When you get asked to open for jack white at MSG you say yes. its in the bible.”

Meanwhile, El-P recently revealed that a third Run The Jewels album is “100 percent going down”. The rapper made the assertion last month (December 11) in a series of Twitter posts, adding that the record will happen after the duo first “take a year to tour the world”.

El-P was less certain, however, about potentially working again with former Rage Against The Machine member Zack de la Rocha. The singer appeared on the ‘RTJ2’ on the track ‘Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck)’ but has not released a studio album since the band split in 2000.

“In 1999 I spent a month in my apartment in Brooklyn with Zack de la Rocha just before he split Rage Against The Machine, working on music that will never see the light of day. I can’t speak about his future but I will say that I’m going to LA to spend another month with him in January,” he said.
