Ryan Adams to play two New York shows in a night

A full US summer tour is set to follow

Ryan Adams is set to play an Arthur Lee benefit gig tonight (June 23) before heading out on a US tour.

The alt-country troubadour will join the likes of Robert Plant, Nils Lofgren and Yo La Tengo at New York’s Beacon Theatre for the show in aid of the Love frontman who is suffering from leukaemia.

Additionally, Adams will then dash across the city to play his own New York show at the Bowery Ballroom this evening, before hitting the road in July with his band The Cardinals, Pitchfork reports.
