Ryan Adams teases Taylor Swift cover album with ‘Wildest Dreams’ preview

Adams says he has four songs left to record

Last week, Ryan Adams announced he was recording a full-length cover version of Taylor Swift’s massively successful recent pop album, ‘1989’. Now the alt-country singer-songwriter has offered a new preview of the forthcoming record, posting a short snippet of his in-progress version of ‘Wildest Dreams’ to Twitter.

“Can’t wait too [sic] add Strings,” he wrote. “Also has a surprise coda.” Adams also revealed that he only has four songs left to record. Click below to listen to his ‘Wildest Dreams’.

Adams revealed the news of his surprise project on Twitter and has been keeping fans updated on his progress via social media all week, sharing previews of ‘Welcome To New York’, ‘Shake It Off’, ‘Bad Blood’, ‘All You Had To Do Was Stay’ and ‘Out Of The Woods’.

Upon hearing about the record last week, Swift expressed her excitement, saying that she would “pass out” and later adding: “not gonna be able to sleep tonight or ever again and I’m going to celebrate today every year as a holiday”.

‘1989’ came out last October and has spawned the hit singles ‘Shake It Off’, ‘Blank Space’, ‘Style’ and ‘Bad Blood’.
