The star opens his tour of UK and Ireland by ignoring his back catalogue completely...

Ryan Adams opened his Irish and UK tour at a sold-out show in DUBLIN’s OLYMPIA last night (November 16).

With new six-piece backing band The Killers, he played a peculiar set drawn only from new album ‘Rock And Roll’ and new EP set ‘Love Is Hell’.

The singer performed an hour-long set including the tracks ‘Love Is Hell’, ‘1974’, ‘This Is It’ as well as giving some fans their first chance to hear songs from the forthcoming ‘Love Is Hell Pt. 2’. Some fans however were left bemused by the New Yorker’s rather bizarre behaviour as he performed some songs in an English accent.

One fan told NME.COM: “He spoke just once to the audience and there was some booing at the end of the show. Maybe it was because he didn’t play anything from ‘Heartbreaker’ or ‘Gold’.”

Ryan Adams returned after the hour-long set to perform ‘I See Monsters’ from the ‘Love Is Hell Pt.1’ EP.

The singer will play three further sold-out dates later in the month when he appears at:

Manchester Academy 2 (November 24)

Glasgow Barrowlands (25) Kentish Town Forum (26)

‘Love Is Hell Pt.2’ is released on December 8.
