As if being the most prolific songwriter in the world isn't enough...
THE STROKES FAB MORETTI, MARIANNE FAITHFULL, RUFUS WAINWRIGHT and ex-SMASHING PUMPKINS bassist MELISSA AUF DER MAUR were among that stars at the opening of Ryan Adams‘ art exhibition in NEW YORK last night (September 5).
The rising star took a break from his hectic recording schedule to exhibit a series of his paintings at the exhibition, which he titled ‘The Sadness’. The event took place at the Niagara on Avenue A in Manhattan’s trendy East Village.
Other entertainment on the evening was provided by [/a]’ favourite new band The Plums.
Adams will release new album ‘Demolition’ on September 16. The album is a collection of 13 demo tracks distilled from four different sessions Adams recorded between December 2000 and October 2001. The tracks will appear as they were recorded in one take with no overdubs. A single, ‘Nuclear’, will follow the album on September 23.
