To the delight of the crowd, the American singer-songwriter works through 'Last Nite' at London's Brixton Academy...

Ryan Adams closed his brief UK tour last night (April 10) at London’s Brixton Academy with a show that again included his cover of Strokes’ ‘Last Nite’.

Ryan Adams will now return to the US where he is preparing to go into the studio to work on the follow-up to ‘Gold’. A spokesperson told NME.COM that though he has a bank of material ready for release, his label have green-lighted his studio return.

Last night’s show was a tamer affair than the previous evening when Noel Gallagher guested on a cover of Oasis’ ‘Morning Glory’. One of the biggest cheers of the evening, as in Manchester Apollo on Sunday (April 7), was for The Strokes cover. Ryan Adams said little and worked on extended jams with his band, The Sweetheart Revolution.

Following his time in the studio, Ryan Adams will head back out on the road in May, touring the US with his friend Alanis Morissette

Adams fans can now hear his cover of Oasis’Wonderwall’ recorded during his show in Manchester by clicking through to his offical site ryan-adams.com and going to the message board.
